2. IdeasWIN RECOMMENDS: As A Man Thinketh
-----------------------------------------------------------
I want to talk to you for a moment about two of my favorite
books. They are both short and yet have a great deal to say.
They were both written many years ago and yet are completely
pertinent in todays' difficult times. And they are both
FREE, over the Internet in e-book format.
The first is "As A Man Thinketh" by James Allen. This is a
little book, hardly more than a booklet, but it has the
condensed wisdom and power to change your life. I've read it
many times, and believe it will change your life if you let
the lessons sink in and ACT on them! This is an amazing,
thought-provoking, life-changing little book. It's a book to
read over and over, to think about and memorize. A great
book of motivation, truth and inspiration to get for
yourself, or to recommend to a friend. You owe it to
yourself to read this little book. You can buy it on Amazon
for about $7 or download it for free at:
http://www.asamanthinketh.net
The second is a long time favorite that is actually the
transcript of a speech that was so popular it was given
thousands of times before it was made into a book. That is
"Acres of Diamonds" by Russell Conwell. If there was ever a
book that the ambitious person needs to read, this is it. If
you ever have spent time looking far & wide for 'a way' then
you need to read this. Again, like 'As A Man' it is a short,
easy read. But it will affect your vision of the future like
few others. How do you get this one? When you download 'As A
Man' at the web site above they will give you 'Acres' for
simply referring someone else to them to get 'As A Man' for
free. What could be easier. Do it, you'll be happy you did.

3. Today's Feature Article: Tomorrow Never Comes
-----------------------------------------------------------
Sometimes the easiest thing in the world is to put it off.
It doesn't even matter what IT is. I have been known to put
off things that I wanted to do! Probably no one else does
stuff like that, but just in case, I want to talk about it
a little.
Why? Because I have struggled with this procrastination
thing on and off most of my life. I've discovered that all
things, when broken down to their smallest effort
components, have the same difficulty level! I think this
quote says it perfectly:
"It is easy to do the things that success and happiness
require. It is also easy NOT to do them." From 'Five Major
Pieces to the Life Puzzle' by Jim Rohn.
So, if it is all so easy, why do we still do the 'tomorrow'
thing? There are several basic reasons. Today I just want to
deal with one of them.
I think the number one reason for shillyshallying is the too
big goal problem. Often we look at the thing we want to
achieve down the road and recognize what a huge step it can
be from here to there.
When I started to get a handle on breaking it down to
manageable pieces it was by asking myself several questions.
I started with this main thought: What can I do TODAY to
positively effect tomorrow & tomorrows?
You see, in looking at what can be done in a single day we
have automatically chopped that huge chunk into a bite size.
By using queries we are forced into a position of
thoughtfulness. I spent an entire evening thinking through
that first point. Rather than an answer, it led me to
another question: What small things can I do everyday which
will change my future?
Because of my circumstances I was looking for something that
could FIT into my already FULL life. That is the meaning of
'small'. Now perhaps you have lots of time and mental &
perhaps physical energy to put into your efforts. We are all
different, so alter this to fit your needs.
After much thought the one thing that jumped out at me was
READ. Reading for self improvement and knowledge is a major
power play in life. Also....it is as easy to do as it is NOT
to do. Of course to change the future a little more is
needed than a simple injunction to read. It is all about
reading the right things, and reading every single day. NO
MATTER WHAT!
The last question that I spent time on might not fit you at
all. If not, remember, this is about changing your tomorrow.
In your thinking time write down the questions that will
work for you.
My grandfather died at the age of 98, and from something
avoidable. I want to live that long to enjoy the benefits of
what I am working for. After all, what is the point of being
wealthy if you die young? So here is my question number
three: What can I do today that will help me live longer?
And with less pain & problems?
Due to my current physical challenges the second part had to
be added. My answers to that are based on my current
limitations and my doctor's recommendations.
But what about you? After all, we all want to "Live Long and
Prosper." Whatever your questions to yourself are, spend the
time needed to answer them. By breaking ANY goal down to
do-able bite sized pieces any peak can be reached. One step
at a time. One bite at a time. It works.
But remember this. Whatever you put off till tomorrow.....
well, you might as well forget. Because the truth is -
Tomorrow Never Comes!
Till next time. Good luck and God Bless.
Remember, IdeasWIN. Develop yours, Chris

4. In The Spotlight: The Key to Internet Success
-----------------------------------------------------------
Where is the Elusive Internet Success? I've looked
everywhere to learn that one thing that will make it happen
for me. I bet you did too. It's a mixed bag out there.
Then I discovered that all I really needed was KNOWLEDGE! I
needed a school for my web site. I needed to take a class
in good affiliate programs. And I needed it NOW, and
without too much investment. We've been that route, haven't
we? Well here I am spilling my guts to you, because I
found it! That's right! Information on how to do it all on
the web, without breaking the bank. Not sure? I don't blame
you. Do what I did, Take A Look. It's a free peek:

-----------------------------------------------------------
The Single Most Critical Element On The Internet!
by Susan K. Pellan
You can spend hours, days and even months designing the
perfect web site. You can spend hundreds and even thousands
of dollars on your advertising campaign. You can do all this
with the greatest precision and if you neglect the one
critical element that is absolutely "key", you might as
well turn your computer off..for good! That one crucial
element is, without question, follow up.
It almost seems like the Internet is a living, breathing
entity, but that it has two personalities. It can be a cold
and lonely place or a warm and inviting environment. There
is an established criterion that is solidly in place and it
would serve you well to learn all you can about it. It's
pivotal to your success.
If you have ever been in sales in the offline arena, then
you already know how vital proper client or prospect follow
up is. What makes it even more imperative on the Internet
is that 99% of the time, you will never meet anyone face to
face. In order to be remembered, you need to keep your name
in front of people. There is one very important addendum to
that. Your name must be respected and that happens only
through learning and implementing the criteria I mentioned
earlier.
Equally important to the success of your business, and part
of the process, is consistent follow up. The process, in
itself, has positive repercussions:
* Your name will become synonymous with other leading
experts.
* You will be trusted as a professional.
* Your sales level will increase.
One of the most rewarding contributions you can make in this
industry is your willingness to help others succeed. Proper
follow up allows you to do just that and, at the same time,
generate revenue for your own company.
It is the universal law of "sowing and reaping". Don't just
look at follow up as a way to make money. See it as an
opportunity to help someone else get what "they" want. If
you really believe in what you are selling, this shouldn't
be a problem for you. If you don't, then you shouldn't be
promoting it!
Below are the statistics regarding the importance of
following up from the Association of Professional
Salesmen and the National Sales Executive Association:
2% of sales are made on the 1st contact
3% of sales are made on the 2nd contact
5% of sales are made on the 3rd contact
10% of sales are made on the 4th contact
80% of sales are made on the 5th-12th contact!!
As with anything Internet driven, there is a right way and
a wrong way to follow up. What you don't want to do is
make a nuisance of yourself, but you also don't want to be
forgotten. Potential customers receive a walloping amount
of "have I got a deal for you" messages and, unless yours
is unique and inviting, you will get lost in the myriad.
Even though the Internet is a staggeringly huge medium, it's
really not that hard to work yourself into a position of
authority. Persistence and integrity are the needed
ingredients and qualities. Don't try to "fool" anybody into
purchasing anything that you aren't passionate about
yourself.
There are some excellent resources on the Internet to help
you construct first-rate follow up letters. Search them out,
study them and master the technique. Soon it will become
second nature to you and you will have the tremendous
opportunity to help others! What could be better than that?
