as a first time being published on the web has requested to

Some of us came into the computer world only after it got
easy. If all there was out there was DOS I might not still
have a computer. It just seemed so unforgiving to me. Well
those of us who came in that way missed out on the amazing
world of what is called the Use Net or News Groups.
This is a place where anybody who has any interest can find
like minded people via the Internet and communicate by
posting a message to the related newsgroup. To give you an
idea of the size of this there are about 40,000 newsgroups
on as many topics. Be warned, this is not a place for the
squeamish because like anything that is truly "free" there
is great stuff and garbage.
There are a number of ways to access the News Groups. The
most well known was Deja News. It was just acquired by
Google
and who knows what will happen there. BUT there is a FREE
program which will allow you to surf, post to, join and get
the full use of the 500 million messages on the Use Net. It
is called X-News and even offers an online users manual. We

Day by Day
We just did something - Every Single Day:
The wealthiest people I know will tell you that it wasn't
all that difficult. They just saw what needed to be done -
started doing it without caring about liking it or not - and
every day they just made sure to do something.
Let's do what they spent only a short time doing....let's
analyze that.
What Needs To Be Done:
You have to know where you are at.
You have to know where you are going.
You have to have a PLAN to get there.
You have to take selfless, fearless ACTION.
Action is the Magic:
All the planning and hoping in the world won't get you
there. The 60's Dusty Springfield song said it all.
" Wishin' & Hopin',
and Thinkin' and Prayin',
Plannin' and Dreamin' "
Won't get you where you want to go. You just have to get off
your rusty dusty and ACT.
AND ANYWAY - who said you had to LIKE it? You only have to
do it. Don't look at the task....look only at the GOAL. One
final thought in regard to action. Bravery is not the lack
of fear. It is doing what needs to be done in spite of fear.
Day by Day:
Your actions TODAY determine your results tomorrow.
This is not what many people believe. An alarming number of
people believe that all that happened to them in the past
and even all that they did or didn't do yesterday is what
decides their future. Certainly our past deeds influence our
future. And even more assured are we that some previous
actions carry consequences in our future. But here is the
part of that belief that is patently false: that we are not
able to move & grow beyond yesterday's mistakes and
failures.
If your future is not looking the way you want it to you can
change it by what you do right now, today, in the next
couple of hours. And if you work at it, just a little bit -
every day, you can become the person you really want to be.
