2. IdeasWIN RECOMMENDS
-----------------------------------------------------------

I have an extensive list of freebie sites that I've
collected over time. But none quite like this one!

My children are grown, but my grandchildren are just at the
point where the computer fascinates them. We all know it's
going to be a BIG part of their lives, so why not encourage
it?

My problem is that many 'computer' games kids play on Sega
& the others are violence oriented. Well here is an online
site dedicated to free fun & educational PC games. The owner
also supports groups that deal with learning disabilities.
This one really deserves a look, it is a WINNER! Check it
out at: http://www.adders.org/freeware/index.html

3. Today's Feature Article
-----------------------------------------------------------

        It's YOUR TIME!

We've all heard people say, "Why them? Why not me? When will
it me My Time?"

There are several things going on with that statement. Let's
take a look at them.

First is the Blame thing. See my article in Issue 46 at
http://www.ideaswin.com/Issues/46.htm#Blame. Think about it
though. Part of the comment is a thinly veiled attitude
that, well - they got it so I can't. NOT TRUE! There is
enough (of everything) for us all! Another person succeeding
does not hold us back. On the contrary. It should motivate
us to believe it CAN be done. And therefore that we then can
do it. In the words of John F. Kennedy, "A rising tide
raises all ships."

Secondly, the questions are fraught with jealousy. We all
are familiar with this damaging emotion. It seems to be
natural, as we all suffer from tinges of it. But one thing
that all who have more than a passing acquaintance with
jealousy will tell you - it can and will destroy the life of
any that allow it to affect how their life is lived. Feeling
a little jealous will not hurt you. Allowing it to in any
way control your actions will. Note others success, learn
from it, and move on.

Third is something I often hear when counseling business
owners. It is based on the assumption the past failure
dictates future failure. This is second only to financial
unpreparedness in sinking small businesses. Why? It causes
people to give up! But isn't it the truth? NOT AT ALL! The
fact of the matter is so simple that few stumble onto it
without guidance. All of our time working towards our future
is like the stretching done before an athletic event. It is
warming up! It is the Preparation for Winning. And if it
involved failures - all the better! In one of his TV
seminars Les Brown made this powerful statement, "In the
good times you put it in your pocket, in the bad times you
put it in your heart." Life is a grinding stone. But we live
the choice - it either wears us down or polishes us up.

Fourth: I personally believe that "it's your time" when YOUR
preparedness meet with opportunity within God's plan.

So:
When is it your time to WIN?
When is it your time for Money?
When is it your time for Business Success?
When is it your time for Personal Success?
When is it your time for Happiness?

When you WORK like it is all up to you, PRAY like it is all
up to God - and BELIEVE!

Till next time. Good luck and God Bless.
Remember, IdeasWIN. Develop yours, Chris

Practical Attraction: Making It Work In 1999
             By: Dr. Phil Humbert

The most powerful forces in the universe are forces of
attraction. Gravity stands out as an obvious example, but
there are others. Magnetism, the force that fascinates
children and that keeps notes stuck on our refrigerators, is
another. Other common examples are the forces that keep
molecules and atoms from flying apart, and of course the
most powerful force known to humans: love.

Given the power of attraction, it seems ironic that the most
common tools used in business are "push" technologies.
Selling is mostly about "push". Advertising is an attempt to
use attraction, but it's usually a poor attempt and we feel
pressured by all the junk mail and salespeople who try too
hard. Think of all the consultants and motivational
"experts" who try to "motivate" employees or create "team
spirit". Most of that is about "pushing" people to do
something they really don't want to do.

In sharp contrast are mountain climbers, marathon runners
and most successful entertainers. These people are drawn
forward by a dream. They have "the hunger", or rather, it
has them, and it won't let go! Imagine being on Mt Everest,
at 28,000 feet above sea level, knowing you have a thousand
feet still to climb. It's far below zero, the wind is
howling, your lungs ache and you can't feel your feet
because of the cold. No force on earth could "push" a person
to do that. So why do they do it?

Sir Edmond Hillary said, "Because it's there."

They are drawn by a dream, by the challenge. There is a
force that attracts them to the summit, and some of us can
not rest until we have done our utmost to respond.

It's called: Attraction in Action!

I get e-mail every week from individuals wanting to build a
coaching practice, or some other business or professional
practice, using the power of attraction. From my mail, it
seems that for many, it doesn't work.

Obviously, there are complex reasons and every situation is
different, but let me suggest a couple of ideas about how to
put this wonderful power of Attraction to more effective
use.

1. Be sure you're chasing the right dream. Climbing
mountains attracts me; becoming an entertainer does not.
Attraction would never motivate me to be a starving actor,
waiting on tables and hoping for my Big Break in New York.
Some of you are chasing someone else's dream! We attract the
things we truly, deeply, honestly and profoundly want in
life. Check to see if you're really chasing your own dreams,
or the dreams that someone else wants for you. March to the
beat of your own drum.

2. Understand that Attraction is not a "magic bullet". There
are no short-cuts or get-rich-quick schemes, as far as I
know. Even Albert Einstein needed years to understand his
own theory of relativity! Most millionaires are over age 50
and have steadily, patiently built their fortunes over many
years. Attraction is a process. It's the force behind your
actions, and it tends to be quite efficient, but it's not
magic and the results rarely come over night.

3. Get yourself together.Attraction requires a massive
investment in your personal foundation. I'm fond of saying
that the taller and more magnificent the building, the
deeper and more expensive the foundation has to be.
Attraction works for happy people. It works for people who's
relationships are pretty solid. It works when our bank
accounts balance (the accounts don't have to be large, but
they do have to be in working order!). It works when our
bodies are healthy and our sense of humor is easy and
relaxed. To use the power of attraction, be an attractive,
likable person!

4. Understand the Law of Large Numbers. No matter who you
are or what you do, most people will never meet you, like
you, or buy your goods or services. That's just a fact. But,
the more attractive you are, the more likely it is that some
of them will be drawn to you IF they can find you. So market
your SKILLS (Note: don't market your ego there's an over-
supply already) shamelessly! Give away free samples, take
every opportunity to display your talents, and "just do it"!
Let people know who you are and what you can do.

5. Practice, Practice, Practice! Do whatever it is you do.
Do it for free. Do it all day, and on the weekends. Practice
with family, friends, neighbors and the family dog, if
she'll cooperate! I love the story Tony Robbins tells about
himself. He knew he needed to become a better public
speaker, and thought it would take him about 100 speeches to
improve. Being an impatient fellow, he set a goal of giving
3 speeches per day and found ways to improve his speaking
ability within a month. How long do you want it to take you
to get better at what you do?

Attraction is the most powerful, most fundamental force in
the universe. It is always easier (and more fun!) to live a
life that draws our goals to us, than it is to chase them
down and capture them. But, life rarely entrusts us with
either privileges or responsibilities until we are ready to
handle them. In 1999, commit to developing the personal
foundation and taking the actions that will inevitably draw
the things you really want in life to you!

9. The Last Word: PONDER POINTS
-----------------------------------------------------------

The major value in life is not what you get. The major
value in life is what you become. That is why I wish to pay
fair price for every value. If I have to pay for it or earn
it, that makes something of me. If I get it for free, that
makes nothing of me.
