Welcome ALL! Sorry for the slight delay, but this Issue
happened to fall on my Birthday....and as you can imagine,
life sort of got in the way.
So I won't make you wait any longer. Enjoy, and Happy
Birthday to those born on June 28 and to everyone else, a
very Merry Unbirthday.

2. IdeasWIN RECOMMENDS
-----------------------------------------------------------
I have never been much for playing games on the computer.
Don't know why. As much as I enjoy many types of 'gaming'
and I really enjoy thinking, and planning stategy. Well
about 5 years ago I ran into a shareware game that I loved.
It was created by two guys and was complex, thought
provoking and could be played by yourself or online against
a "real" opponent.
Since then the game has gone through many versions and
finally got so big it was sold to a larger game company who
put out a CD Rom version with lots of whistles & bells. But
the old 1.1mb version 1.0 really has all you need to really
get into the play. The game? Stars! It is still the one game
I play often on my PC. Complex enough that if you don't
study the tutorial you will never 'get it.' Yet small enough
to be passed around on one floppy. Remember those?
In looking around for a download of it to offer you - I
could not find it at all! So I uploaded the zipped file to
our site. Here it is: http://www.ideaswin.com/Stars!.zip
Check it out! And let me know how you like it!

3. In The Spotlight
-----------------------------------------------------------
There aren't that many real bargains on the web when it
comes to the subject of Internet Marketing. I have found one
that is staggering!
Larry Dotson has been around long enough so most 'netters'
know the name. Well, he has really done it! His site offers
thousands of pages of training and tips. Not to mention
dozens of e-books and articles to download. In addition
there is reprint rights to several pieces that could turn a
tidy profit.
Is it free? no, but right now.....LIFETEME MEMBERSHIP is
being offered for $11.95. And that is not a misprint. Get
all the details and sign up at:

4. Today's Feature Article
-----------------------------------------------------------
I'm one of those people who does not belive things
happen by 'accident.'
So, when I kept hearing references to people feeling like
they had not accomplished anything in their life - well
let's just say I started paying attention. Here I was about
to hit my 52nd birthday and in TV shows, movies and in my
reading this sentiment was popping up repeatedly.
Now I knew it wasn't for me. I have been through that in the
past. And I was sure that it was dead and buried. Yeah
right! Since when were feelings ever totally laid to rest
permanently, particularly those negative ones?
Just like the namesake at the end of the movie "Saving
Private Ryan" we are easily overcome with the fear that we
have not made a worthwhile journey through life. That we did
not "Earn it." That perhaps when measured against that great
yardstick in the sky we won't measure up.
What measure are we then to use? Is there anyone on the face
of the Earth that is qualified to look at another's life and
judge it? Of course not. And perhaps the very feeling of not
have done 'enough' is brought on by attempting to compare
ourselves to another.
If there has been anything written by man that is a fair
ruler - or at least a place to begin, it is the famous quote
on success by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent
people and the affection of children; to earn the
appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of
false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in
others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a
healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social
condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because
you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
The core message in his statement is contained in the line,
"to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit
better." Then there are the words of another, one who was
not of the Earth, which are of the same sentiment. In
Matthew 22 36-40 (KJV)it says, "Master, which is the great
commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love
the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind. This is the first and great
commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love
thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all
the law and the prophets."
In the final analysis, we are who we need to satisfy - while
here. How to go about it? One way is to ponder this central
idea. Has your life honestly made things better for anyone
other than yourself? Do we work toward the causes we say we
belive in or only talk about them? Are others glad to see us
arrive, or leave?
You know the best part of looking at your life with an
honest eye? If you are able to read this then it is not to
late to start! It is not over for you yet! If you do not
think you have done, been, seen, accomplished etc. etc. etc.
It is not too late.
Take your measure. Decide who you want to be. And FOCUS at
least part of the day, each and every day on BECOMING that
person. Give it your all, hold nothing in reserve....SELL
OUT to the concept of being the very best you that is
possible to be. And you simply can not lose. Never forget
one thing, the Past does not determine the Future.
Till next time. Good luck and God Bless.
Remember, IdeasWIN. Develop yours, Chris

6. Guest Article
-----------------------------------------------------------
By: Dr. Donald E. Wetmore
We all have 24 hours in our day, 7 days per week. And if you
multiply that out, and my math is correct (I think it is
because I've done the calculation a few times before!), that
totals 168 hours per week.
No more. No less.
And the truth about time is that it can only be spent. It
cannot be saved. (Did you ever have any time left over on a
Sunday that you were able to use the following week?) And
there's only two ways to spend our time; wisely, or, not so
wisely.
Our time is spent on "have to's" and "want to's". Our time,
like our money, can either be "spent" and it's gone, or
"invested", and like seeds in the ground, will return
abundance back to us in the future. Good Time Management
is budgeting some of our time for "investing", learning how
to do it better and more effectively. "If you always do what
you've always done, you always get what you've always got."
It's a good goal to improve on the entire twenty-four hours
in our day, but just for now, think about improving on just
one hour per day. If we can gain one additional hour per day
either by doing what we already do, but do it more
effectively or do something new, the payback will be
enormous as we enjoy the "multiplier effect" of that
savings.
A person making $50,000 per year who is wasting just one
hour per day, five hours per week, or 250 hours per year, is
creating a minimum loss of productivity valued at $6,250 per
year. To be able to recapture that time and use it more
effectively creates an annual return of 250 more productive
hours or over 6 "free" workweeks during the next year.
"A problem well defined is 95% solved." To recover some of
your lost time, you need to know where your time is going. I
recommend preparing a Time Log. Nothing fancy about this,
just take a pad of paper and make a heading, "Time Log". As
you complete each major task or spend a chunk of time, log
it in on your list. Note the date and time, what you did,
the length of time it took, and the rating: A=Crucial, B=
Important, C=Litte Value and D=No Value.
Run this for 3-5 days, as a shorter period may give you a
distorted sense of what is really happening. Then analyze
the results and almost always we will find chucks of time
wasters that you can control and reduce. Your savings may
come from reducing meetings, delegating more effectively,
reducing interruptions, planning better, etc.
One immediate, major improvement most people can realize in
their day is to improve their reading speed. The average
person spends 2 hours per day reading. By learning the
simple skill of speed reading, that reading time can be cut
in half or you can read twice as much within the same amount
of time.
For most, the skills can be acquired in one day. Our Dynamic
Reading Seminar is six hours and our students typically
double their reading speed and double their comprehension
rate by the end of day.
To learn more about how speed-reading can immediately save
you at least an hour per day and enhance your career
success, I have prepared "Speed Reading Facts" It's free. To
get yours, email your request for "facts" to: ctsem@msn.com

When I was a young man I observed that nine out of ten
things I did were failures. I didn't want to be a
failure, so I did ten times more work.
